May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Study notes

The psalmist asks that his words and the thoughts of his heart would please the Lord, his Rock and Redeemer.

Explanation

After praising God's word (19:7-11) and asking to be kept from sin (19:12-13), the psalm ends with a prayer about inner and outer life: what is said and what is thought. "Redeemer" describes a relative who would buy back or rescue a family member in need.
