Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or terrified of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Be strong and courageous and do not be afraid, because the Lord goes with you and will never leave or forsake you.

Explanation

Moses is about to die, and Israel is about to enter the land without him (31:1-3). He encourages them: their confidence rests on God's presence, not on Moses or their own strength.
