Study notes

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as God forgave you in Christ.

Explanation

Paul has told believers to put away bitterness, anger and slander (4:31). In its place come kindness, tenderness and forgiveness. The measure for forgiving others is how God has forgiven us.
