He shouted at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In God’s name don’t torture me!”  For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of this man, you impure spirit!”
 Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?”

“My name is Legion,” he replied, “for we are many.” And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area.

 A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside. The demons begged Jesus, “Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.” He gave them permission, and the impure spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about two thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.
Mark 5:7-13

They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost.  He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”

Luke 24:37-39

Jesus looked around at them all, and then said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He did so, and his hand was completely restored.
Luke 6:10

1:1 All wisdom cometh from the Lord, and is with him for ever.

1:11 The fear of the Lord is honour, and glory, and gladness, and a crown of rejoicing.
1:12 The fear of the Lord maketh a merry heart, and giveth joy, and gladness, and a long life.
1:13 Whoso feareth the Lord, it shall go well with him at the last, and he shall find favour in the day of his death.
1:14 To fear the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and it was created with the faithful in the womb.
1:15 She hath built an everlasting foundation with men, and she shall continue with their seed.

1:16 To fear the Lord is fulness of wisdom, and filleth men with her fruits.

Sirach 1:1-16

 

When evening came, his disciples went down to the lake, where they got into a boat and set off across the lake for Capernaum. By now it was dark, and Jesus had not yet joined them. A strong wind was blowing and the waters grew rough. When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the water; and they were frightened. But he said to them, “It is I; don’t be afraid.”  Then they were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading.
John 6:16-21

Lord said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command.  May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.

2 Thessalonians 3:1-5

The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.
