Verse 12

Peter tells the Jewish council that salvation is found in no one but Jesus; there is no other name by which we must be saved.

Explanation

Peter and John have been arrested after a lame man was healed in Jesus' name (3:1-10; 4:1-3). Before the council, Peter says the healing came through Jesus, whom they crucified and God raised (4:10).
